The book binder Thomas Brend[1] told George Wythe that Thomas Jefferson's 8th volume will be completed in two or three weeks. The committee appointed to collect and publish land and property laws decided to cease at the moment in the hopes that the general assembly will be willing to extend the work based on Jefferson's reasons given in his letter from January 16. Wythe asks Jefferson if he wants him to sent a copy of the letter sent in January to every member of the assembly.
