This compendium of the law presents a list of the Virginia statutes passed by acts of assembly. It also contained an appendix of all private acts passed since 1749 when a major revision of the laws took place.[1] This was the second to last compilation of laws before the revolution. Interestingly the state assembly in Williamsburg ordered the book to be jointly printed by rival printers.[2]
