This compendium of the law presents a list of the Virginia statutes passed by acts of assembly. It also contained an appendix of all private acts passed since 1749 when a major revision of the laws took place. This was the second to last compilation of laws before the revolution. Interestingly the state assembly in Williamsburg ordered the book to be jointly printed by rival printers.
