Published in the Virginia Gazette in May 1775.[1] George Wythe, in his capacity as clerk of the House of Burgesses, lists the counties which have not sent him the list of tithables requested in On a Motion Made.[2]

THE counties of whose tithables, lists, or certificates of the members, for the year 1774, have not yet come to my hands, are Augusta, Amherst, Bedford, Berkeley, Betecourt, Chesterfield, Culpeper, Elizabeth City, Essex, Fairfax, Fincastle, Goochland, Hampshire, Hanover, Henrico, King George, Loudoun, Louisa, Lunenburg, Nansemond, New Kent, Norfolk, Orange, Prince Edward, Prince George, Southampton, Stafford, Surry, Sussex, Warwick and Westmoreland, with the lists of some counties. Their accounts against the public were not sent.
