Robert Carter to Wythe, 20 June 1776

Robert Carter writes to George Wythe in Williamsburg as a response to his letter from June 2, 1776 where he informs Wythe that he requested a certain number of stocking loom needles to be sent to his place to create course stockings. In this letter, he tells Wythe that he has already received the aforementioned stocking loom needles and relays additional information such as the cost of the needles.

20^th of June 1776

Dear Sir--- Your favour of the 17^th day of this instant, a bundle of iron wire & 4 on stocking loom needles were delivered here yesterday. Wire & needles mentioned above cost £ 5 " 8 "9 Pennsylvania Currency. I send enclosed gold weighing 17 pennyweights. say(?) £ 5 " 10 " 8 PCure^y rating a pennyweight of golf at above 3 £.
