"The third part of reports of cases, taken and adjudged in the court of Chancery, in the reigns of King Charles II. King William, and Queen Anne" is a compilation of selected cases from the English Court of Chancery, compiled in 1716.[1] The first two parts were printed in 1715.[2]The entire collection is alternatively titled "Reports. 1625-1714."[3] The full title also includes the subheading, "Being special cases, and most of them decreed with the assistance of the judges, and all of them referring to the register books: wherein are settled several points of equity, law and practice. To which are added learned arguments relating to the antiquity of the said court, its dignity, power and jurisdiction: the great case between the Dutchess of Albemarle and the Earl of Bath: and a list of all the lord chancellors, lord keepers, and lords commissioners of the great seal, since the first year of the reign of Queen Elizabeth, down to the present time. With two tables to each volume; one of the names of the cases, and the other of the principal matters."[4] The cases are listed alphabetically, and contain cases from the reign of Charles II (r.1660-1685)[5], William III (r.1689-1702)[6], and Anne (1702-1714)[7].
