Custis v. West, 1 Jefferson's Memorandum Books 136 (1769)[1] was a case for ejectment in which George Wythe was the primary attorney with Thomas Jefferson hired to assist him.

Nov. 28. Edmund Custis (Glocester) v. John West,     Giddins,     Rogers et al. Ejectm. G. W. principal. I am emploied by Mr. Eyre to assist him for def.[2]
