This report, in the handwriting of [[George Wythe]] and [[wikipedia:Samuel Adams|Sam Adams]], concerning the Northern Army was filed by the Continental Congress on 29 November, 1776. The report orders the construction of a hospital on [[wikipedia:Mount Independence (Vermont)|Mount Independence]] and an inquiry be made into the army's medical staff. Further, the report orders the batteries on lakes [[Wikipedia: Champlain|Champlain]] and [[wikipedia:Lake George (New York)|George]] be repaired and 100 batteus be constructed.

This report, in the handwriting of George Wythe and Sam Adams, concerning the Northern Army was filed by the Continental Congress on 29 November, 1776. The report orders the construction of a hospital on Mount Independence and an inquiry be made into the army's medical staff. Further, the report orders the batteries on lakes Champlain and George be repaired and 100 batteus be constructed.

The text of the final report was published in American Archives (1843).[1]

The committee on the affairs of the Northern Army beg leave to make a further report and to sit again.

Resolved that it is the opinion of this committee that the medical committee be directed to provide sufficient quantities of antiscorbutics for the use of the hospitals in the northern army.

Resolved that it is the opinion of this committee that the hospital at Fort George be continued for the reception of soldiers labouring with contagious diseases; and that there be a general hospital erected on Mount Independence.
