Edmund Pendleton informs George Wythe that he has formally resigned from the High Court of Chancery and that Wythe will receive Pendleton's certificate of resignation and John Blair's certificate of qualification.

Memorandum text

E.P. to G.W.

March 3, 1789

I yesterday afternoon signified to the Governor in writing a formal resignation of my Office as one of the Judges of the High Court of Chancery. If this is not regular information to you as now Sole Judge, I suppose a Certificate from the Executive that I have resigned and a Copy of Mr. Blair’s Certificate of qualification, to be entered on your Records, would be perfectly so.
