The Botanic Garden
by Erasmus Darwin
The Botanic Garden was first published in 1791. It was immediately popular and was reprinted several times. It is a popular explanation and exploration of the newly translated classification of plants by Linnaeus. It touches on species reproduction and as such the roots of evolutionary theory can be found within.
