Williamsburg, May 9
LAST Monday the General Assembly of this commonwealth met at the Capitol, but there not being a sufficient number of either House to proceed to business, the members present adjourned themselves from day to day till yesterday, when the Hon. ARCHIBALD CARY, esq; was chosen Speaker of the Senate, and the Hon. GEORGE WYTHE, esq; Speaker of the House of Delegates.
