Evidence for Inclusion in Wythe's Library
The evidence is not conclusive. According to Bennie Brown, the copy in the Thomas Jefferson's Library collection at the Library of Congress has the signature of D. Carr on the title page.[1] Jefferson gave his nephew, Carr, many of Wythe's law books. How this particular set ended up in the library Jefferson sold to Congress is unknown.
