Charles Evans (1850 – 1935) was an American librarian and bibliographer. His magnum opus, the 14-volume American Bibliography: A Chronological Dictionary of All Books, Pamphlets, and Periodical Publications Printed in the United States of America, includes entries for ten items published by, or for, George Wythe, including seven cases reported in six supplemental pamphlets, printed separately after an edition of Wythe's decisions were published in 1795.[1] Some of the dates of publication for the pamphlets, however, are inaccurate.[2]

- ↑ Evans presumes all six pamphlets were printed in 1796. He either did not have access to all the pamphlets himself, or the copies consulted did not all have title pages extant. See Fowler v. Saunders and Goodall v. Bullock (1798, together in the same pamphlet); Love v. Donelson (1801); and Wilkins v. Taylor (1799).
