by Sir Michael Foster
In 1762 appeared Foster's greatest work, A report of some proceedings on the commission of oyer and terminer and [gaol] delivery for the trial of the rebels in the year 1746 in the county of Surr[e]y, and of other crown cases. To which are added discourses upon a few branches of the crown law, which appeared in a second edition in 1776 and a third in 1792, both by Foster's nephew Michael Dodson, together with Dublin editions in 1763, 1767, and 1791.
