}}William Bunbury (1665 or 1666 &ndash; 1748) practiced for more than forty years, primarily at the [[wikipedia:Exchequer of Pleas|Court of the Exchequer]] where he spent several years as the "senior barrister on the common law side of the court."<ref>William Holdsworth, ''A History of English Law'' (London: Methuen &amp; Co., Sweet and Maxwell, 1938), 12:137.</ref> His reports represent notes he had taken and subsequently corrected. According to [[wikipedia:William Holdsworth|William Holdsworth]], they were deemed authoritative in part, perhaps, due to the fact that they were "almost the only regular set of reports of cases decided in the court of Exchequer before ... 1796."<ref>Ibid., 12:138.</ref>

Ordered by Wythe from John Norton &amp; Sons in a letter dated May 8, 1770.
