William Nelson, Robert Carter, Peyton Randolph, and George Wythe), the executors of the estate of Lieutenant Governor Francis Fauquier, placed this advertisement requesting that officers who owed money to the late lieutenant governor before his death on March 3rd make payment promptly. The executors hoped to settle the estate quickly.[1]

MARCH 31, 1768.
IT is desired that the officers who are accountable to the late Lieutenant Governour FAUQUIER will be pleased to pay what they were answerable to him for, until the 3d of March inclusive, at the approaching General Court, that his executors may be enabled to complete the settlement of his affairs with the expedition they wish.
