Gentlemen
The Committee Appointed to Carry into Execution the Inclosed Resolve can think of no method so proper for the State of New York, as to apply to the Convention; and for that purpose we do send you ten thousand dollars, and desire you to appoint proper persons in the Several Districts to Execute the same; and if, upon trial, you find that more Cloathing may be had than this money will purchase, you may have more by applying to this Committee —
