                   Philadelphia Nov. 4 1776
Sir,
    Please to pay to the Delegates of the State of Connecticut, the Sum of Seventy thousand Dollars, to be by them transmitted to the Governor of Council of Safety for that State, to be by them improved to passage Clothing for the Soldiers in the Service of the United States, they to be accountable & Charge the Sums to the Committee, according to the Resolve of Congress of the 25th Sept. Last.
