Additional information:

The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research." If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use", that user may be liable for copyright infringement. This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, the fulfillment of the order would involve violation of the copyright law.
* I have read and understand the above restrictions:

Before requesting an ILL, please confirm that you have:

  • Searched the online catalog for Law and Swem holdings.
  • Asked the Law Library Circulation Assistant to examine the record of items listed as "checked out" from BOTH the Law Library and Swem to determine if an item can be recalled OR is already checked out to a carrel.
  • Checked the "Missing Journals and Bindery List" notebook for journals that are missing.
  • Researched the item using FirstSearch (WorldCat/ArticleFirst) and provided the Accession/OCLC number for the item requested.
* I confirm that I have done all of the above:

The library tries to obtain ILL materials free of charge; however, should an ILL delivery/fax fee be assessed, I agree to pay all charges incurred upon receipt of the ILL materials, up to the amount I have specified below.

(NOTE: If there is a fee for your item, you will be contacted prior to the request being processed. All fees must be paid when the item is picked up from the ILL office. If a library charges for interlibrary loan, the charges usually range between $10-$20.)
* I agree to the statement above concerning ILL fees:
* Maximum charge for ILL request:
